Vector Drawing and the Programs that support it.

Vector drawings is a series of lines that make a shape or typography. The line record the length along with the X and Y axis. Vector drawings can be resized to any shape due to them solely being recorded with lines and not storing any sort of pixel or art work inside. They are based on mathematical equations recording whether if a certain point was changed the other points in the vector would resize without pixelating. An example between a Bitmap image and vector drawing both stretched is shown below:

Certain programs like Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign to name a few specialise in the style of vector drawing. While photoshop has the ability to vector shapes and typography, from there on it doesn't do anything else wit vectors. Indesign focuses more on Typography and working with changing text while not distorting the lines of the text. Illustrator on the other hand is exceedingly good with illustrations (You would think) Ive turned many photos into illustrations by using lines over the photo's I'd like to use.
